Is the program appropriate for children? The Event is designed for adults and children. The loss of a pet is an important event in a child’s life. Children’s loss will be specifically addressed in our activities and in the information offered. The Event is divided into 10-minute and 15-minute segments to make it easier to hold a child’s attention, and to allow short breaks between segments.

How do I have my pet included in the Pet Memories Video? Please email a photo of your pet to info@shawandsons.com by October 18th. If you do not care to use email, you may bring in the photo to Shaw & Sons at 201 N. 2nd Street, Yakima during regular business hours Monday through Saturday. We will return your photo to you at that time. For privacy reasons we do not use photos of pets that include children in the photo.
What should I bring to the event? For our Reflection segment you may want to bring a small framed photo for our remembrance table, or an item of memorabilia such as your pet’s collar, tag, favorite toy, etc. to display during this time. You will also have to opportunity to write a note to your pet during the Reflection segment.

Anyone who has loved and lost a pet is welcome to attend. Please feel free to bring a friend, neighbor or family member who might benefit. Visit the Shaw & Sons’ website at www.shawandsons.com for more information or call Shaw & Sons at 509-426-5308.
