Rodney Beason Obituary (2024)

On December 8, 2024, at the age of 58, we lost our beloved husband, father and friend, Rodney Beason after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Yakima, Washington, on February 28, 1966, to Evaline Muggy. Rodney lived a life full of love, adventure, and kindness. Rodney was known for his generosity and helpful nature, he believed that there was no stranger, just friends he hadn't met. Rodney was married to the love of his life, Lisa (Gregory) Beason. Rodney and Lisa built a beautiful life together that they shared with their five children, Stephen Beason, Kyle Gregory, Danielle Beason, Heidi Wolff, Gage Beason, and so many others, who looked at him as a father figure. He had a passion for riding his Harley, spending time with his friends and family, racing at the speedway, and helping anyone in his path who needed it. From passing out coloring books at the speedway of the "local heroes," to dressing up as Santa Claus during the holidays, Rodney went to great lengths to make memorable moments for the children in his life and in the community. Rodney's occupation was a labor of love caring for individuals with developmental disabilities. Rodney loved his work and those he cared for loved him back. The impact that Rodney left on those he knew is immeasurable, to know him, was to love him. Rodney leaves behind his wife, his children, several grandchildren, and siblings, Ken Davis, Teresa Hart, and Rhonda Forth. He is preceded in death by his mother and brothers, Dexter Davis and Terry Beason. A Celebration of his Life will be held on Friday, December 20, 2024, at 2:00pm, at Shaw & Sons Funeral Home (201 N 2nd Street, Yakima). A Reception will follow at The Baptist Event Center (515 E.
