William (nmn) Thiel Obituary (2023)

William Thiel Sr., age 82, beloved husband, dad, and grandad, passed away on Saturday, August 26, 2023. He was born on August 18, 1941, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to Frank Thiel Jr. and Inez Lourine (Watson) Thiel. He went to school in Yakima, until 9th grade. He married his childhood friend and sweetheart, Charlotte May Tamburello on August 26, 1961. Together they had four children, Charlene, Baby Boy, Tina, and William Thiel Jr. The day he passed away would've been their 62nd wedding anniversary. He worked for Cliff Upholstery for 28 years, Hiway Towing, and had his own trucking company for a while. He is survived by his son, William Thiel Jr., and seven grandchildren, Tiffany Russell, Shawn Rodriguez, Jermy Rodriguez, Charlene Rodriguez, William James Thiel, Johnna Shae Thiel, Guy B. Thiel, and his great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, children, Charlene Tamburello, Baby Boy Thiel, Tina Thiel, his beloved wife, Charlotte Thiel, May Thiel, Marion Jensen, Frank Thiel III, Erinst Thiel and John Thiel. A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, September 8, 2023, at 1:00pm, at Calvary Cemetery. Shaw & Sons Funeral Home is caring for the family.
