Obituary of Marjorie Palmer

Marjorie (Marge) Faye Palmer went to be with the Lord on March 23, 2018.  She was born in Labanon, Missouri to Ernest and Nettie Gregory on October 14, 1927.  Marge was the seventh of a family of 10. Marge attended school through the eighth grade. She was unable to attend high school at this time as it was too far away. But, soon the family moved to Yakima and Marge was able to finish high school in June 1947. Having also met Vernon R. Palmer, she married in June 1947.

She and Vern had four children: Kathryn Palmer, Yakima; Karren Palmer, Olympia; Byron (Paula) Palmer, Yakima; Janet (Scott) Wallace, Soldotna, Alaska. The family has now grown to many grand and great grandchildren.

Marge had a strong interest and ability for bookkeeping. She began working as a bookkeeper while she was still attending high school. Marge worked at several different businesses and organizations doing bookkeeping throughout her working career.

Marge had served in many different capacities while first attending Broadway Christian Church and then at Ahtanum Pioneer Church.  Marge met the Lord when she was 10 years old. As Marge grew in her life with the Lord her real calling and passion developed: teaching the Word of God. Marge taught Good News clubs while also working at the Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) office. Marge attended and also taught at Bible Study Fellowship. Later she developed her own Bible study material and taught from those lessons. So Marge has taught the Word to all ages, from the very young to the seniors.

Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday March 30, 2018 at the Ahtanum Pioneer Church, 8500 Ahtanum Rd., Yakima, WA
