Obituary of Ronald Connelly
It is with great sadness that the family of Ron Connelly announces his passing on April 23rd, 2018 at the age of 54 years, handsomely young.
Ron was born and raised in the Yakima Valley. He attended East Valley High School but was too smart for his own good. Ron spent the majority of his working life as a mechanic of all vehicles but his love was for Fords. He enjoyed spending time in the shop with his father doing anything and everything they wanted. He followed in his father’s footsteps by becoming a race car driver, tearing up the track at the Yakima Speedway bearing the number 46 with great pride. Ron also cherished his hunting seasons up at the Nile with all of his closest friends.
Ron will be remembered by his mother, Noreda “Babe” Connelly, his fiancée Julie Burns, sister Teri Rehn, daughters Tara Muir and Kayla Connelly and son Dillon Yates. He will also be fondly remembered by his brother-in-law Steve Rehn, son-in-law Nick Muir, nephew Stephen Rehn and grandsons Brenden Connelly and Braxden Muir. There are countless other friends and family who will keep his memory alive.
Ron was preceded in death by his Grandma and Grandpa Connelly, Grandma and Grandpa Cooper, and his father Dale E. Connelly. He was also preceded in death by his Auntie Phyliss and cousins Bradley and Colleen.
A service in memory of Ron will be held on Sunday, April 29th, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Shaw & Sons Funeral Directors, 201 N. 2nd Street, Yakima, WA 98901.
