Obituary of Santiago Cordova

Santiago Cortez Cordova was born July 10, 2014 in Yakima, WA to Francisco Cordova, Jr. and Sandra Silva. “Santi” passed away peacefully in his parents’ arms on April 26, 2018.

Santi was diagnosed with Holoprosencephaly (HPE). He was given a 1% chance of surviving his first 6 months and a 3% chance of surviving his first year. He was a fighter and defied all odds and lived to be 3 years old. Santi’s favorite things were family time, water parks, Batman and watching big brother Isaac play basketball. Santi was surrounded by many family and friends who were blessed by his presence.

Santi is survived by his parents Francisco and Sandra Cordova; brother Isaac; grandparents Salvador Silva and Enedina Silva, Francisco Cordova, Sr. and Vanessa Cordova, all of Yakima, WA, and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his sister Nevaeh Marie Cordova in 2013.

Viewing will be on Friday, May 4, 2018 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Shaw & Sons Funeral Directors, 201 N. 2nd Street, Yakima, WA. Funeral service will be at Apostolic Faith Center, 2321 S. 18th St., Union Gap, WA 98903 on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at 11:00 a.m., concluding at West Hills Memorial Park.
